This conference is designed for educators who seek a broad view of gifted education. Emphasis is on the major dimensions of the ALM. You may attend as many as 15 sessions (from an offering of 52 different titles), as well as three dynamic keynotes. Additionally, the relaxed and informal environment provides for interaction with presenters and conference participants. We welcome family and friends.
The Autonomous Learner Model (ALM) for the Gifted and Talented was developed in 1979 by George Betts and Jolene Kercher to specifically meet the diversified cognitive, emotional and social needs of gifted learners. Emphasis is placed on meeting the individualized needs of learners.
