Estes Park Center
YMCA of the Rockies
Estes Park, Colorado
|
This conference is designed for educators who seek a broad view of gifted education. Emphasis is on the major dimensions of the ALM. You may attend as many as 15 sessions (from an offering of 52 different titles), as well as three dynamic keynotes. Additionally, the relaxed and informal environment provides for interaction with presenters and conference participants. We welcome family and friends.
George Betts and Jolene Kercher developed The Autonomous Learner Model (ALM) for the Gifted and Talented in 1979 to meet the diversified cognitive, emotional and social needs of gifted learners. The ALM has been implemented K-12 in regular classrooms, pull-out programs, specific ALM classrooms and all content areas
Welcome to Families and Friends
The 22nd Annual Conference is designed for educators and parents, but we especially welcome their families and friends, as they add so much to the warm and close-knit atmosphere of the ALM Conference. Your family and friends will enjoy the YMCA, Rocky Mountain National Park, and the beautiful town of Estes Park. Their only cost will be the YMCA room and board fee.
